CAN I APPLY OR COVER MYSELF WITH THE BLOOD OF JESUS?
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (KJV)
Matthew 26: 28
It is an undeniable truth that the blood of Jesus is powerful. However, it is possible to abuse the purpose of the blood of Jesus out of ignorance. Some people pray to spiritually fill their pen with the blood of Jesus in order to pass their exams. Others daily soak themselves in the blood of Jesus for protection, whiles others pray using the blood to spray on witches.
This is when we ignorantly assume the blood of Jesus to be some pool of red liquid somewhere for our use. In the Old Testament, the blood of animals was used as the typology of the blood of Jesus. Blood was mostly used for the atonement of sin annually by the high priest in the holy of hollies. The main purpose of Jesus shedding his blood was for the remission of sins.
The blood was not shed to kill witches. It was not shed to make us get more money or for us to use it to cover our roads or spray our farms to kill insects. The blood is not a multipurpose liquid for our use. It was shed for the specific purpose of the remission of sins. Jesus offered or applied his blood once and for all to fulfill any typology or symbolism of anywhere blood was used in the Old Testament.

We are to enjoy the benefits of the shed blood which is eternal forgiveness of sins. Spraying, soaking, pleading, sprinkling or painting with the blood of Jesus are all expressions of ignorance. Jesus shed his blood once for us all to enjoy the benefits.
Don’t redo what Jesus has finished doing. We are not required to apply the blood as though it is a liquid store for our use. Jesus our high priest has finished the application. He has finished the work of shedding or sprinkling his blood once and for all. We are not expected to do anything other than for us to know what was done and by faith enjoy the blessings of what was done. We are to know what the blood was shed for and enjoy the benefits of what was done. Enjoy what Jesus has finished doing.

With due respect pastor sir, my question is, “if” his blood is only for the remission of sin. And why then if we pray on our communion for a specific purpose and believe God for a miracle or healing of infirmities it happens because of our faith? why can’t others apply the same faith in whatever is important to them using his blood?
Thank you pastor sir for this short, yet very educative message. I have always believed that we don’t have to pray in the blood of Jesus, because he(JESUS), didn’t teach us to do so but in his name. I heard many people talk applying, sprinkling etc the blood of Jesus, and wondered where they got it from. Our sins were washed by the blood of our Lord. And the bible teaches us in St.John 15:3 that now, not next week or so, we are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. And these are the words of the master himself
The Christians around the world who ignorantly speak the application of the blood to whatever, can now be taught, and learn the purpose of the blood bof Jesus.
